Seniors Winter Competitions

Our second Winter competition was a 9 hole Texas scramble held on 23rd November, this being a precursor to our Presentation lunch. The start was delayed somewhat by early morning frost but once underway the day ran swimmingly and despite using winter greens the usual clutch of bandits rose to the challenge.

Texas result was (also showing the handicap adjustment related to Seniors Winter Competition only)

Afterwards the seniors Captain Mr Fred Ainsworth opened up the presentation proceedings with thanks to all who have helped throughout the year, and sent our best wishes to 2 of our missing members who have recently undergone medical procedures; Pete Caswell and Keith Bayliss.

With hard working competition coordinator Mr Bob Edwards acting as compare the following main prizes were presented by Fred:

Fred closed off the presentation session with one of his own, now infamous jokes (hopefully his last one) and the members then enjoyed a lovely Turkey Xmas lunch. This was finished off with homemade mince pies provided by our very own Master Chef contestant?? And contrary to what others say there were no Tesco labels in sight?? Or was there?
