Greetings from Matt
The Masters
It's no secret that The Masters is my favourite golf tournament of the year. It's not just another week on tour, it's the biggest week of most players lives.
Aside from the Ryder Cup I think the players put themselves under the most pressure during this tournament. The Masters is the only Major of the year played on the same golf course, Augusta National. Golfers all over the world are fascinated by the golf course and even the Professionals seem a little star struck on their first visit which makes it no surprise that this tournament has only ever had three debutant winners, do you know who they are?
There are some exciting debutants this year but it is surely a big ask to go out and win the Masters on your first appearance. Maybe Jordan Speith or Victor Dubuisson have got what it takes?
Every year I give you my picks for who I would be putting my money on and I will forgive you for not following suit as I often get it wrong. It has got to the point that my wife Fiona has now banned me from backing Lee Westwood as she so desperately wants Lee to win his first Major but nether the less here are my Masters Picks. I've gone for a few each way bets this year in a hope to cover myself but if I had to pick one winner I think it would be 'Koooooooccchhhh'.
- Matt Kucher
- Peter Hanson
- Louis Oosthuizen
- Henrik Stenson
- Jamie Donaldson
Next week I will be putting the same curse on my picks for our very own Masters weekend. I have a few ideas already but why don't you click here and let me know who you think will win the Penkridge Masters!
