Captains Charity 2014/2015
The 2014 Captains presenting St Giles Hospice Walsall with a Cheque as said in golf balls. Present Lesley Simmons, Sharon White, St Giles, Laura Jones, Barclays Bank. Held on Friday 10th April. Seniors Competition - WC 27th April 2015
Leading Edge No 5 took place on Monday 27th April with 63 golfers in attendance. This was the first of the two medal competitions that cumulatively contribute to the new FA trophy (that's Fred Ainsworth not Football Association). Looking at the final results this was a difficult day for all concerned due primarily to the wind and is demonstrated by a CSS of 74. The winners in Division 1 and 2 both with a 72 nett were M Pearson and A Archbold respectively with A Burrows taking the 28 Handicap spoils with a nett 79.
It is worthy of note that Mr Dave Walley (a 26 handicapper) had a birdie 4 on the par 5, 15th hole. Now that's how you play golf gentlemen.

Interclub Matches
The interclub team came alive at last in their home match against Dartmouth on Tuesday 21st April. This time the Captain chose a righty to be his batman and this proved inspirational as they romped home to a convincing victory leading to an overall team win of 5.5 pts to 1.5pts.
As we go to print the team are hoping to continue their success at Penn on Tuesday 28th, a much loved course with 28 players originally seeking a team slot. Competition for places is tough this year.
Don't forget the next mixed on Tuesday 5th May and the Seniors vs Stafford Castle on 7th May.

St Georges Day Challenge
On Sunday 26th April we held our St Georges Day Challenge. Our winners were Ken Hunt, Ivor Hale, John Garbett & Adam Hodgetts on 147. Second came Lance Round, Martin Cartridge, Callum Jenvey & Mitchell Coleman with 149 and third was the team of Lee Bills, Liam Bills, Paul Crane & Steve Pick with 150.

Congratulations to Zach Tallent on winning his 2nd competition of the year with 38pts. Our runner up was Toby Dreaves Foord with 36pts (bb9).

May Junior Camps
