Interclub Matches
The seniors team travelled to Uttoxeter on Wednesday 1st April with high hopes. It would have been better had the contest been declared an April Fools joke as we returned later with our tails between our legs having suffered a 6.5 to 1.5 defeat. Perhaps the new Seniors Captain failed to select the right batman (unlike the previous Seniors Captain) and thus failed to motivate the team from the front!!
One consolation was that the meal turned out to be probably the best we have had in the last 3 years.
Thursday 9th April is our first home match against Hilltop (team sheet on the board) with entry sheets also on the board for: Dartmouth at home on 21st April and Perton away on 28th April.
A sheet is also on the board seeking competitors for a match on Monday 20th April. This is the first of the Club Captain's (Alan Richardson) plans to help better integrate some of the various sections at the club.
The Vets team kick of their season in Division 1 of the North Staffs Vets League on 16th April with a home match against Barlaston.
