Dear all, I would like to start by saying a very big thank you to last years Club Captain, Mike Baynham for all his hard work. It has been a pleasure and a great honour to have been his Vice-Captain. I would like to officially announce my Vice Captain, Mr Adam Hodgetts. I know he will do a great job this year. To Mike, Ladies Captain, Barbara Pritchard and Seniors Captain, John Johnson for the amazing effort you all have made for your charity BLESMA and raising the incredible amount of £13,589.00. Congratulations to all the Captains for their hard work fundraising. On a personal note, I am honoured and proud to be Club Captain this year. I have to say I was looking forward to the AGM and officially becoming Captain, unfortunately, the AGM as you know had to be cancelled. The Gala Dinner has not been cancelled, it has only been postponed and we will get to have a great night after all the problems that COVID-19 has caused. It is important that during this time that we all stay in, wash our hands regularly and be safe and stay healthy. I’d like to officially welcome the new Committee Members, Pete Day, Glynn Taylor and Pete Bryant look forward to working with you and the other members who are staying for another term. They are Dan Davis, Alan Cooke, Kevin Sherriff and Graham Donohoe. My Charity this is Promise Dreams. They are a national charity that aims to make a real difference to children who are seriously or terminally ill. “Every child has a dream and whatever it may be we aim to make it come true - essential equipment and resources for their home. In fact, anything that will make life happier and easier for the family in need”. The Senior Captain, Brian Bateman and the Lady Captain, Coral Blair have chosen to support their own charity, the Brain Tumour Charity and I wish them every success in their year as captains.
