Welcome to another edition of our newsletter, in this week’s mail it’s time for me to say goodbye, the new PING equipment has landed instore, and we give you a competition round up. Enjoy the read!

Time to say goodbye…

As many of you already know, my time at the Chase has come to an end after nine fun years here. December 18th saw me receive a job offer in a country that I love with an opportunity too good to turn down. I will be flying out to Germany on 25th February to start work early March at Straubing GC as a full time coach. My last day at the Chase is Monday 18th February, so if I haven’t seen you already, please pop in the shop at some point so I can wish you all the best. I have really enjoyed my nine years here with such a friendly membership and great staff. I am very excited for my next challenge and what the future holds but I will be back in the winter at some point so will make sure I pop down the club to catch up with a few faces. Carry on enjoying your golf and don’t forget to practice!

Range Night

Don't forget about our range night, every Thursday throughout the winter from 6pm – 7.30pm. This will be a fantastic opportunity for you to pick up some great tips... If you’re already having lessons then this is the perfect chance for you to have some supervised practice. Range Balls Included - £5pp

Senior news

Senior Winter Competition

Monday 4th February saw the Senior Section take part in a 2 ball 9 hole Texas scramble.
The winners were Terry Marsh and Mike Reed with Senior Captain Dave Cartlidge and Alan Richardson runners up. The next senior section winter competition is on Monday 18th February and is a 9 hole multiplier.

Captains Charity Chinese Banquet

With the comments I have received on my mistake with the month in last week’s newsletter it nice to know so of you actually read my ramblings. To clear any confusion, the Chinese Banquet for the Captains charity is on Thursday 21st February at the Chase Golf Club. Tickets are £18 and are available from the Senior Captain and Vice-Captain.

Senior AGM

The senior AGM is on Monday 4th March. Official notices will soon be on the noticeboard. We are looking for new committee members; if you are interested please speak to a committee member.
