Just before we bring you up to date with the latest Senior’s news many thanks to all of the seniors who invited myself and Bryan to come along to the away trip, we both had a great day out at Swindon and were blessed with some fantastic weather.
On Thursday the 11th September the much awaited Senior Captains Away Day took place at the rescheduled Swindon GC and what a fortuitous rescheduling this turned out to be. The course was in a very good condition and proved testing for both low and high handicappers alike with a plethora of tree lined fairways requiring only the best of course management. Ivan Poole was thanked for his excellent organisation of the event and the Seniors were blessed, not only by some great weather but also the attendance of two revered guests in Bryan Davies and Matt Southwell. Senior Captain Stephen Fountain gave his usual amusing end of day speech presenting prizes to:
Winner - Stephen Bonehill 38 points
