Chase Chalice

Another well supported Major took place this weekend with 92 members taking part. The conditions for the day were perfect, allowing exceptional scoring and that’s exactly what we got. With 14 players beating there handicap! The winning score of 63 from Colin McCarthy (pictured) was exceptional, especially with a nervy finish over the last 2 holes. Colin did you have a 59 in mind?

Both Carl Brogan (below, left) & Steve Bate (below, right) must have been writing their winners speech’s coming down the last as 66 is normally a good winning number but they had to settle for 2nd & 3rd places. Colin has been playing steadily over the last few weeks and it is great to see that his lessons and practice are paying off, well done Colin.

Congratulations again to Liam Bills who won the Club Champs two weeks ago and followed it up with another level par 72 to win the best gross.

  1. Colin McCarthy Nett 63
  2. Carl Brogan Nett 66
  3. Steve Bate Nett 66
  4. Chris Duncan (below, left) Nett 67
  5. Steve O’Dowd Nett 69
