Weekend Medal 16/09/17

Last Saturday the course was playing to a 73 standard scratch for the Weekend Medal. The overall winner from across the field was Paul Cranidge with a nett 67. There were also 5 twos in total.

Division One - First place, Mark Abella (nett 72). Second place, Neil Whitehouse (nett 73). Third place, Chad Clarke (nett 75).

Division Two - First place, Phillip Stillie (nett 71). Second place, Alan Birks (nett 72). Third place, Mark Hall (nett 72).

Division Three - First place, Mark Granner (nett 69). Second place, Chris Lord (nett 70). Third place, Steve Earll (nett 74).

Autumn Trophy

Monday, 11 September saw heavy rain and wind greet the Senior Autumn Trophy. Alan Richardson bettered the conditions to win with a fine 73. To show how tough the conditions were, the competition scratch score was 76.

First place, Alan Richardson (73). Second place, Alan Smith (76). Third place, G McLeod (76). Fourth place, D Whitehouse (77). Fifth place, P Caswell (77).

Senior Matches

Over the last couple of weeks the seniors have had two away matches. First we travelled to Branston GC on the outskirts of Burton on Trent, it was a fine day and we had excellent company and meal which went someway to overcome our 5-2 defeat.

Next we had a visit to Stone GC and again suffering a 5-2 defeat. Thursday, 21 September see Barlaston GC visit The Chase for our next match.
