As some of you are aware, unfortunately we have lost our reciprocal agreement with The Vale Golf Club, Evesham as from June 30th but I am delighted to inform you that I have organised reciprocal use for our members at Abbey Vale Royal Golf Club in Northwich, Cheshire which is just under an hour’s drive away.
The par 72 course is set in 150 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside and its clubhouse is a set within the majestic 16th century Vale Royal Abbey with stunning views across the course. Both clubs have agreed to do this on a trial basis so I kindly ask that you strictly follow the below terms and conditions
- All bookings to be done through your Club Professional
- Membership must be valid at the time of playing
- Bookings allowed after 9am in the week and after 11am at the weekends
- Groups of 12 or more must book a food package ie breakfast or lunch or dinner
- Max of 6 visits per annum per member
- Clubs’ rules must be adhered to at all times
If you would like further information about Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club please visit www.vra.co.uk
I hope you enjoy this new benefit to your membership and from having being there myself it is well worth a visit. Can I also ask that we give their members a big warm Chase welcome when their members visit us.
Wishing you well for the rest of the season
Bryan Davies, Operations Director
Tiger's Back!
Like him or hate him there is no denying Tiger Woods is good for the game of golf. With Tiger not playing the US Open this year the crowds and the TV viewing numbers were at an all time low for that tournament, it’s no wonder Tiger demands 6 figure appearance fees! He is already outright favourite for the British Open which is no surprise as he breezed to victory at Hoylake in 2006.
US Open draw results – (vouchers now available in The Performance Centre)
1st Alan Milner £50
2nd Barrie Morgan £30
Tied 3rd all getting £4.50 - John Garbett, Ian Lawley,Alan Cooke, Graham Mcleod
Look out for the British Open draw available now in the Starters Hut.
The Club Championships and the Chase Chalice are now bookable via the touch screen terminal.
The Men’s Invitation took place last Saturday and the course was in fabulous condition for the guests who played.
