The weather has definitely taken a turn for the worse with cold temperatures, heavy rain and some parts of the country facing snow. 

Don't let the winter weather stop you playing golf over the next few months, just make sure you are dressed in the winter clothing essentials to keep your warm and toasty on that round of golf.

The Ladies have now moved to 9 Hole Competitions with winter rules now in place. A reminder to all Ladies, F.R.O.G.S continues throughout the winter (see notice board for details).

Not forgetting group lessons 9am every Tuesday, with PGA Pro Dan at the driving range. £5 per session.

Greenkeepers Texas Scramble Sunday 6th/Monday 5th 

A huge thank you to all those that took part and supported The Greenkeeper's Texas Scramble on Sunday and Monday. Your support is much appreciated and we hope that everyone enjoyed the obstacles across the course. 

Well done to the winning team on Sunday of Matthew Cartwright, Neil Whitehouse, Lee Llewelyn and Stuart Edwards with a very impressive score of 58.75. Monday's winners were Michael Whitehouse, Richard Davis, Mervyn Hopton and Mike Bates with an outstanding score of 58.25. 

  

10 Foot Putting Challenge Results 

Thank you to everyone who took part in the 10 foot putting challenge last week. For those of you that missed out, this is how the challenge worked. Each golfer hit 10 putts from 10 foot and the score was recorded. Following this each golfer was custom fitted and changes made to the technique if required, then we re-tested the 10 putts. The top scorers included Matt Swift, Steve Foster, Dave Plested, Pete Ward, Peter Williamson & Brian Preece. Who all scored 5/10! Very impressive as the percentage of putts holed on tour from 10 foot is around 35%. But there can only be one winner, so the most improved putter is Dave Plested who scored 1/10 in his first attempt and 5/10 in the second. The reason behind this improvement was a change of putter suiting Dave much better. Please collect your prize from the Golf Performance Centre!
