Greetings golfers, 


  

I was lucky enough to have something decent to watch last weekend when I was off work with my bad ankle. I have to say I didn't miss a shot of the Ryder Cup and thoroughly enjoyed it even though we were beaten heavily. 

The Americans set the course up with not much rough which I feel played into their advantage with players like Phil and Rickie who struggle to hit a fairway. The American crowd spoiled it at times which was a shame but it was nice to see Rory getting fired up and giving them back some of their own medicine. 

The morning Friday foursomes finishing 4-0 down was a massive let down to the team and I really couldn't see any way back from there. We gave it a fight in the singles with Rory getting just beat by a cocky Patrick Reed who just played some unbelievable golf. 

Stenson did amazing beating Jordan Spieth, and how about Sergio getting a half with Phil who made 10 birdies in his round! 

The stand out rookie was Thomas Pieter's claiming 4/5 points over the three days. 

Westwood didn't win a single point throughout the Ryder Cup which was disappointing and to be honest didn't even look bothered. 

I have messaged him saying that we are offering half price short game lessons throughout October! Hopefully when 2018 in Paris arrives we can put out a stronger team, hole some putts, win that Ryder Cup back and have the trophy shining in Europe where it belongs.
