Captains Trophy 

Despite a wet start with a few reluctant golfers, mentioning no names. The weather soon picked up bringing the wind, making the conditions tough throughout the day. These tough conditions were reflected in the scores, with only one player managing to beat his handicap and the competition scratch reaching 74.

Seniors Coaching Morning - 

Our Seniors Coaching Morning takes place every Thursday 10am-11am. With all aspects of the game covered each week this is a great way to pick up some useful tips as well as a great opportunity to meet new people. Sessions run every Thursday for only £5pp 

Ladies Coaching Morning - Every Tuesday 9am-9.45am. 

Our ladies only coaching sessions are a great way to pick up some useful tips from our lady PGA coach Katrina. With all aspects of the game covered each week these sessions are great for brushing up on you technique and are a great opportunity to socialise with other lady golfers.

This week saw the Over 70,s Veterans Trophy and Over 80's Octogenarians Trophy. 38 entrants included 9 Octogenarians. A dry but windy day kept the scores low but only one point covered the first five.

Congratulations to Phil Wilson and Ilmar Luik on finishing second in the Cox Chalice at Brocton GC with 43 points. 

After last week's 7-1 victory the seniors looked to continue this form with a visit to Greenways GC. On a lovely sunny day our form deserted us and we were will beaten 5 - 1. We all enjoyed ourselves despite the score. The next match is an addition to the diary away at Branston GC on 7th September. 

The Seniors open is fast approaching and we would welcome raffle prizes for the day. Contact Tony Archibold or Mike Whitehouse the Senior Captain.
