As most of you already know the 2016 Chase PGA Midland Pro Am took place last Friday and what a fantastic day it was. The highlight of the day was Matt winning the Pro am shooting an amazing score of 67! (-5).
Matt had been flat out for weeks leading up to the pro am with getting everything sorted for the day and also had an injury on his shoulder. So to go out in his first competition round of the year and shoot that score was an incredible achievement.
Well done Matt I think I will leave having a wager with you next week at the Brocton Hall Pro Am! Matt's superb scorecard from the day can be seen below. Also click on this link to read an article from the PGA on Matt's win.
We had 42 teams play throughout the day which was a fantastic turnout. There was a record number of members playing this year and supporting the event, so thanks to everyone that played this year.
Sixteen under par won the team event with three teams tied in second place on thirteen under par. The scoring was very good with the weather being very kind. A huge thankyou must go to Simon and his team for how well the golf course was presented. I was first out at 7.50am and thought the course was stunning. The greens were lighting fast and the best I have ever seen them. We are already taking entries for next year so if you would like to experience this great day please let a member of the professional team know.
