This week saw 40 Senior Members descend on Patshull Park Golf Club for the annual Senior Captains away trip. With the shower abating during the afternoon and the course in fine condition an enjoyable day was had by all.
The winner on the day was Mr Charlie Dodd with a fine score of 39 points, did this have anything to do with the number of Bacon Baps consumed by Charlie prior to his round. Well done Charlie. Second was Phil Wilson and third Bob Edwards. I wonder if this was some sort of record as they are all left Handed players.
The longest drive was won by Steve Conroy, nearest the line Derek Whitehouse and nearest the pin our professional Matt Southall (subject to a steward's enquiry for proof of his age).
A fine dinner was enjoyed by all after the day's golf. A big thank you to Ivan Poole for organising an excellent day.
