Greetings,
It's the most exciting week of the year for any keen golfer out there with the Masters getting underway today. Monday - Wednesday on Sky Sports they have been showing live range footage for a couple of hours in the afternoon. I have recorded it every day and when watching it I have been glued to it, and then gone to bed and dreamed about it! Not only is the golf course the most beautiful and prestigious in the world, but the practice facilities are the best out there too. Zach Johnson drove in down magnolia lane a couple of years ago after the new facilities had been built and he said, "I kind of did a double take, I was like, 'Wow, which hole is that?'" It wasn't a hole, but Augusta National's new practice range, an 18-acre expanse that is so meticulously manicured and true to the Tao of the National, that it looks like it was surgically removed from the course itself.
Its specs are impressive: dual 400-yard-long fairways that allow players to carve shots around strategically positioned trees; magnificent white bunkers and slippery greens that mimic the real things; and a short-game area with one green for putting and two more for chipping, pitching and whatever other skills players might want to hone.
If only I could have a day there, play the course and have a few hours practice, then my life would be complete! My pick of the week is Rory McIlroy.

The Importance of Re-gripping Your Golf Clubs
Why should you re-grip?
- To replace a standard size grip with a size that matches the size of your hands
- Select a material, texture and design that suits your needs
- Replace a worn-out grip that contributes to excessive grip tension and pressure
When should you re-grip your clubs?
- Replace your grips every 30 to 40 rounds if you spend a lot of time practicing at the driving range
- Regardless of how many times you have played, you should replace at the first sign of noticeable wear
- This can include: Smooth or hard surfaces, Cracks, Shiny patches, Wear spots, or complete loss of grip
Make sure your grips are right for the start of your golfing season! Please contact a member of the professional team for more information - 01785 712 8 88 EXT.2.
Have a great weekend,
Dave
