Hope you all had a good Easter Bank Holiday. The weather was perfect for the first BBQ’s of the year but also for a round of golf with some people even getting their legs out, in some cases we were hoping for cloud cover!
Don’t’ forget the Thursday Night League is back on the scene as from this week. You can roll up to play anytime between 3pm and 6pm and we will pair you up for a friendly 9 hole stableford competition. The competition is open to all sections and all you need is a handicap to be eligible to play.
There have been lots of competitions of late so below are the results of some of the more recent.
St George's Day

Weekday Stableford
The winner of the April weekday Stableford was Richard Knott with 36points winning on count back to Tony Anderton.
Junior Penkridge Masters
Congratulations to Oli Davis on winning the Junior Penkridge Masters with a score of nett 69. Oli has followed in his Dad’s footsteps making 2014 a Penkridge Masters Davis double!
Ladies Team
The Ladies team have done well in the Daily Mail team knockout this year but unfortunately they were knocked out by Ingestre Park ladies on Sunday. It was very close, after all 5 games were finished it was 2 ½ each so the final match had to go down the 19th. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be and there time in the competition had come to an end. Well done ladies you have done The Chase proud.
Ladies Week
This week only we are having a large ladies sale, up 50% off ladies products in the Performance Centre. The sale will finish on Tuesday 29th at 6pm so hurry while stock lasts. Seniors Leading Edge Competition No 3 took place on Monday 14th April. Results were as follows:

Will all members note that because the competition attracted numerous complaints about the speed of play, the Seniors Committee have decided to provide a marshal for the next LE competition who will have the authority to request groups to “step aside” where a hole in front has been lost.
Next LE competition will now take place on 19th May instead of the 28th April as there was a double booking error in the diary. (Look out for the sheet on the notice board)
Seniors first Vets competition in the North Staffs League took place on Thursday 17th April against Brookfield GC. The team produced an impressive result for their inaugural appearance winning all 6 matches (=12 points ) and upholding the competitive status of all the other Chase teams.
The next Vets match is on Thursday 1st May at home to Blyth Bridge (look out for the sheet on the notice board)
The first Seniors Interclub match took place on 10th April at home where the team successfully won 6:1 against Hilltop
Forthcoming interclub matches involve Dartmouth on Tuesday 22nd April at home and Perton on 29th April away (look out for the sheet on the notice board)
PGA Pro-Am
Entries for our annual Midland Region PGA Pro-Am are now being taken. Those of you who have supported this event over the years will know that it is a great day to be a part of. We are usually over subscribed for this event as we cap the field to 50 teams. If you would like to register your interest in playing then please click here and I will be in touch. Yet again our Pro-Am has been supported by Banks’s and Knights BMW ensuring that we attract the top Professionals in The Midlands and can put an amateur prize table up of over £2000.
Entrance fee for Chase members is £150 per team of 3.
Entrance fee for non-Chase members is £210 per team of 3.
