Junior Half Term Golf Camps

Seniors Winter Competitions

The first Winter competition of 2016 took place on Monday 11th January. There were 58 entrants for a fun 3 clubs and a putter competition. Results were, together with handicap adjustment:

C Dodd 19 Pts cut two shots
K Jenkins. 18 Pts. cut one shot
P Wilson. 17 Pts count back on last three holes. (17 other players had 17 points)

Next is a drawn pairs accumulators on 26th January and we only have fifty entrants, we need more! Notice on board now

Rule of the Week

Below was last week's rule. The correct answer was C

Explanation: A player may play a stroke with any part of the clubhead, provided the ball is fairly struck at (Rule 14-1a) and the club conforms with Rule 4-1. See also Decision 14-1a/1. In stroke play, a competitor plays a left-handed stroke with the back of the head of a right-handed club. What is the ruling? 

New rule of the week

In match play, a player placed a stick against his ball to prevent the ball from moving when he moved some loose impediments. What is the ruling?

A - The player incurs a penalty of one stroke.
B - The player loses the hole.
C - There is no penalty.
